By popular demand the Blackstone Valley Tourism Council (BVTC) continues the Secret Ingredient Food Tour with Spring 2012 venues featuring weekly “behind the scenes” public participation events at restaurants and food establishments in Rhode Island’s historic Blackstone River Valley.
These weekly food tours give residents and visitors an exciting opportunity to sample the wide variety of ethnic foods and cultural cuisine of the Blackstone River Valley through live demonstrations and meals.
Here are the latest stops in the tour: All events are held weekly, on Wednesday nights, from 6-8 pm.

Experience the Blackstone River Aboard the Blackstone Valley Explorer
The Blackstone Valley Explorer is a 40-passenger riverboat, the only one of its kind on the Blackstone River. Since 1993, when the boat cruises began, more than 25,000 passengers annually have come from local, national and global destinations to take 45 minute narrated tours along sections of the Blackstone River.
Explore the river that was once called "America’s Hardest Working River" and discover the river’s ecosystem as you learn about the river’s industrialized past, the river’s restoration, and what we are doing to help the river live again.
Tours operate hour on Sunday afternoons only at 1 pm, 2 pm, 3 pm and 4 pm from Central Falls Landing, located at the intersection of Broad Street & Madeira Avenue, at the Central Falls/Cumberland border, Central Falls, RI.
Tickets for public tours are $10/adults, $8/children & seniors. RI State sales taxes apply.
