On Saturday, October 2nd from 10am-1pm we will once again join together to spruce up the neighborhood.  Please save the date!  We are looking for volunteers.  We will definitely be cleaning up parts of Smith St. and other areas of concern.  More details to follow soon.  Check back with us!   To volunteer, please email us at contact@elmhurstcleanandgreen.org.

Our market is going strong with over 200 people visiting each market.   We have a few new vendors starting soon…Ma Davis’ Preserves and Providence Granola tomorrow and Providence Juice the following week.   Oakdale Farm, our organic farmer, has been a big hit.  Frey Florist will be back tomorrow and we will also have the Mt. Pleasant Library selling tees and used books and Lead Safe Kids to talk about lead poisoning and measures to prevent and remediate.

Come join the fun and support our local farmers and businesses.  Bring the family – there is a playground and plenty of room for the kids to run around.  See you Sundays from 11am-2pm through October 31st.

Our 1st Family Fun Day in conjuction with our Farmers’ Market will be held this Sunday, August 1 from 11am-2pm at Davis Park.  The YMCA will be there with their ‘Y on the Move’, a 35′ inflatable obstacle course.  There is a new playground and basketball court for the kids and we will also have face painting.   

While at the Park, shop for your fresh, local produce, herbs, flowers and plants!

The Farmers’ Market will be running every Sunday from 11-2pm through Halloween and we will have a Family Fun Day once a month with activities for the kids.  Come out and support our local farmers!

Our 2nd annual Farmers’ Market at Davis Park is being held Sundays from 11am-2pm through October 31st.  Davis Park is located at the corner of Raymond and Chalkstone Sts.  Come join the fun, support our farmers and local artisans and bring the family!  There is a new playground there for the kids.

On Sunday 8/1, in conjunction with the market, we will hold our first Family Fun Day with lots of kid’s activities.
